.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME TLD is the only one intended for personal web pages only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to book john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already grabbed 3rd-level domains remained running.

Through our firm, you can reserve your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to change the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer key from the present domain registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. There are no specific requirements on who can grab a .NAME domain name, but in order to keep the concept behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.

The .NAME generic TLD is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the proper spelling in your local language.
